Dear Dr. Lee,
I am writing to you to seek your professional advice on some issues that I am facing as a teenager. I hope you can help me cope with the challenges and difficulties that I encounter in my daily life.
One of the main problems that I have is the pressure from school. I have to study a lot of subjects and do many assignments and tests. I feel overwhelmed and stressed by the work I have to complete. Sometimes, I have trouble sleeping or eating because of the anxiety and worry that I have. I also feel that I am not good enough or smart enough compared to my classmates. I often doubt myself and my abilities.
Another problem that I have is my relationship with my family. My parents are very strict and demanding. They expect me to get high grades and excel in everything I do. They also control my time and activities. They do not allow me to hang out with my friends or pursue my hobbies. They often scold me or punish me if I do not meet their expectations or follow their rules. I feel that they do not understand me or respect me as an individual.
The last problem that I have is my friendships with my peers. I find it hard to make friends or fit in with others. I feel lonely and isolated at school. I do not have anyone to talk to or share my feelings with. Some of the students are mean and bully me. They tease me or mock me for being different or weak. They also spread rumors or gossip about me. I feel hurt and humiliated by their actions.
These are the problems that I am facing as a teenager. They affect my mental and emotional health negatively. They make me feel depressed and hopeless. Sometimes, I even think of harming myself or ending my life.
I need your help and guidance to overcome these problems. Please tell me what I can do to improve my situation and cope with my emotions. Please also suggest some resources or support groups that I can access to get more help.
