My favourite sport is football. I love playing football as well as watching it. I think this is a great sport, because it is a team game, but there also is a place for great individualities in it. The players must get on well with one another and understand one another very well. They have to be a real team to achieve a success. They should not be egoists, craving for personal success, but they should all work for the victory. When, for example, somebody is near to the opposing team's goal and he should pass the ball to another player, but instead of that he shoots and misses, this is not a good example of "team spirit".
Football is very popular because you don't need any special equipment to play. You need only a ball and a field - that's all. I play football a few times a week on a football field close to my school. I play with my class friends - mainly boys, but there are also two girls. Sometimes older boys play with us, too. We usually play for an hour or two.
