1. It boosts defence system of a nation. If a country have advanced fighter planes, missiles, weapons, satellite technology then it's borders, citizens are more safe.
2. It helps in managing better resources, like led bulbs which decreases the electricity consumption, turbocharged engines which increases the efficiency of engines and hence decreases the quantity of fuel used.
3. It helps in finding answers to the unsolved questions, like how universe is created, life on other planets, etc.
4. With it, treatment and vaccines are possible for numerous diseases. And research for other diseases are carrying out.
5. With it we can convert the barren land of deserts, into fertile crop producing fields or industrial, business colony. Hence we can setup new human habitats in these isolated areas and so reducing burden of overpopulation in other areas of the world. Like Dubai, an piece of desert is converted to beautiful business, tourism, residential city.
6. It helps in reducing crime as well as helps in finding the culprit. Eg ; CCTV cameras, alcohol detector at traffic police.
7. It helps in better communication, like use of mobile phones, internet. It also helps in gathering knowledge through internet like Quora app. Overall it had brought the entire world to your palm through internet.
8. It increases the food production, hence helps in fighting poverty. Increases the income of farmer many times.
9. It helps in dealing well with natural calamities. Like making Dams check floods, gives prior information of the calamities like Cyclones, Tsunami, Katrina.
10. Overall it eases the life by saving our time, better transportation, communication, ease of business. And most important it gives us solution finding approach, thinking beyond the existing.
