Everyone is full of childhood memories. Especially the first days of school, meeting and getting to know so many teachers and friends… these will always be unforgettable memories.

In my early days of school, my teacher always praised my beautiful and neat handwriting. I was very good at handwriting, but not so good at math. This was the subject I feared the most. Although the teacher taught and guided me very carefully and meticulously, because I was afraid of the subject, I didn't fully understand what she taught. Knowing this, the teacher changed my seat so I could sit next to Ha – one of the best math students in the class – to study together. Working on group assignments together helped me improve a lot. I learned math methods from her. Even in difficult problems, she guided me on how to approach the problem and the appropriate solution method. From being a weak math student, I began to develop a passion and love for this subject.

Once, during a math test, I couldn't solve a problem. I spent almost the entire afternoon struggling to solve it. Seeing this, Ha wrote something down on a piece of scrap paper. Then, she crumpled it up and gently handed it to me. I felt very happy to have her help, but at the same time, I felt uneasy. I took the crumpled paper and stuffed it into my desk drawer. I suddenly remembered my teacher's words: "Failure is the mother of success." I didn't want to remain weak in math. Ha urged me to take out the paper and copy the solution. But I resolutely refused and continued to think about how to solve it. When there were only about five minutes left, the teacher's words suddenly came back to me. While writing down the formulas I had learned, I suddenly realized I had forgotten one calculation. I quickly corrected my work. When the bell rang signaling the end of the test, I had finished the exam.

The teacher returned the test papers and she got an 8 – a well-deserved result for her efforts. Ha was also very happy to see that she had improved her studies. Even now, whenever I think back, I feel joyful.
