I disagree with the idea that “We do not need public holidays at all.” In my opinion, public holidays are necessary and should even be increased so that people can have time to rest and relax after long periods of working. There are two main reasons why I strongly support this idea. Firstly, people need time off to rest and to spend quality time with their families. Secondly, public holidays are important for remembering and honoring the contributions of those who came before us.
Firstly, most people in Vietnam work very hard. They usually work 5 to 6 days a week, around 8 to 10 hours a day. That is a large amount of time, and it can make people feel tired and stressed. Working continuously without enough rest can affect both physical and mental health. Public holidays give workers a break from their busy schedules and allow them to recharge their energy. When people have time to rest, they can come back to work with more motivation and better productivity.
Secondly, public holidays are a great opportunity for families to spend time together. In our modern life, many people are too busy with work and have very little time for their loved ones. Public holidays create chances for children, parents, and even grandparents to gather, talk, travel, or simply enjoy meals together. These moments help to strengthen family bonds and create happy memories.
In addition, public holidays play an important role in helping people remember the history and the sacrifices of previous generations. In Vietnam, we have special days like Independence Day or War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, which remind us of the brave people who fought for our freedom and peace. Without these holidays, many young people might forget the history or not understand how much effort and sacrifice was made. Public holidays are meaningful because they help us show respect and gratitude to those who helped build our country.
In conclusion, public holidays are not only necessary but also meaningful. They give people time to relax, reduce stress, and enjoy family life. At the same time, they help us remember our past and honor the contributions of heroes. For these reasons, I believe that we should keep having public holidays and even consider having more. I hope others will also understand how important public holidays are in our lives.

I disagree with the idea that “We do not need public holidays at all.” I think public holidays are important and we should keep them. They give people time to rest and also remind us of our history.
First, people need holidays to rest and relax. In Vietnam, many people work very hard, almost every day of the week. If they work too much without a break, they can feel tired and stressed. Public holidays give them time to recharge their energy. After resting, people can go back to work with more motivation.
Second, holidays are good for families. Nowadays, parents are often busy and children spend much time studying. Public holidays are a chance for family members to gather, talk, travel, or enjoy meals together. This makes family bonds stronger and creates happy memories.
Finally, public holidays help us remember important events and respect the people who came before us. For example, Independence Day reminds us of the heroes who fought for freedom. Without these holidays, many young people might forget about our history.
In conclusion, public holidays are necessary and meaningful. They help people relax, spend time with family, and remember the past. That is why I believe we should keep them, and maybe even have more.
