It told me about its planet, where the sky was always purple, and the rivers floated in the air. We sat together, sharing stories, and laughed softly. I felt like I had known it for a long time. But soon, its spaceship started humming. “I must go,” it said. My heart sank. “Will you come back?” I asked. It nodded. “One day.” I watched the spaceship rise into the sky and disappear.
