The story of Cuoi in the Moon Palace tells about a forefather named Cuoi. One day, while collecting firewood, he saw a mother tiger picking leaves from the Banyan tree and feeding them to the tiger cubs lying on the ground. Miraculously, they woke up. Cuoi decided to dig up the Banyan tree and take care of it, watering it with clean water every day. He used the leaves from the Banyan tree to save the lives of the villagers and married a wife. However, one day, Cuoi's wife fell and broke her head, so she forgot Cuoi's instructions and watered the tree with dirty water. When Cuoi returned home, he saw the Banyan tree had been uprooted and flying up. Cuoi quickly grabbed the roots and used his strength to pull the tree down, but Cuoi was also pulled up to the Moon Palace.
