The Lake District is  the largest National Park in England. It is one of the most beautiful and also one of the most popular parts of the country. Every year, more than fifteen million people visit the park. There are many amazing lakes to walk or cycle around, rivers
to canoe down and mountains to climbs. Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, is in the Lake District. It is 978 metres high and the views from the top are spectacular.
The Lake District is also a great place for people who prefer to rela activities.You can visit pretty villages, go fishing or go on a lovely boat trip on Windermere, the biggest  lake in the park.
