They first started in 1961 in Switzerland. They work in six areas: food, climate, freshwater, wildlife, forests and oceans. The WWF has offices in more than 100 countries. To help the WWF, people can ‘adopt’ an animal. People can choose the animals they like, such as tigers, butterflies, bears, birds, etc and make a donation.
