Hoang Lien Son mountain range is a mountain range in the Northwest region of Vietnam. The Hoang Lien Son mountain range is 30 km wide, and 180 km long in the northwest-southeast direction, between Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces extending to the west of Yen Bai province. The northwest part of the mountain range has many over 2,800 m high, including 3,143 m high Fansipan, the highest in Indochina. There is also Ngu Chi Son mountain 3,090 m high, and Pu Luong2,938 m high. Hoang Lien Son has a cold climate all year round and lots of rain.
Hoang Lien Son possesses spectacular natural scenery, making anyone who comes here feel immersed in that beauty. This majestic mountain range not only offers trekking trips through the forest, experiencing diverse ecosystems but also gives tourists the opportunity to learn about the daily life of ethnic minorities in the villages at the foot of Hoang Lien Son. When going there, tourists also see terraced fields where the ethnic groups grow rice stretching through villages. The people there are friendly. When tourists are in need, they are ready to give them their hand. However, sometimes, tourists will find it hard to understand their language.
