There was a significant declined of 5 millions in visitors, from 20 to 15 millions between 1975 and 1990. In the period of 1990 to 2000, it remained steadily. After that, it went down rapidly in 2005.

As can be seen from the bar graph, the visitors from South Korea and Canada tend to visit New Zealand while tourist from Japan and Britain choose Australia to enjoy their vacation.
