A new study carried out by (1. RESEARCH) __________________ at the University of Warwick claims to show (2. CONCLUDE) __________________ that money can buy you happiness. The study, which is based on the (3. RESPONSE) __________________ of 9,000 families in the 1990s, looked at the effects of windfalls- such as a lottery win or the receipt of an (4. INHERIT) __________________ on people's wellbeing. It found that receiving just £ 1,000 is enough to change the average person's (5. LOOK) __________________ on life, though it would take at least 1 million to jump from being very unhappy and (6. SATISFY) __________________ to being very happy and contented. However, it seems the happiness gained from money does not last and the (7. PLEASE) __________________ wears off as you get used to it. Professor Andrew Oswald, who led the research, also points out that money is not the only source of (8. CONTENT) __________________, and other factors, such as a strong marriage, play an important role.
