Dear Hoang Anh,
I am writing to you about my Tet holiday. Tet is an important holiday for Vietnamese people. Tet is a festival that takes place in late January or early February. And Vietnamese people have 9 days of Tet holiday.
When Tet comes, everyone gathers together to eat the typical Tet dish, which is Banh Chung. After that, people visit relatives and friends, wish Tet and give lucky money to children. Vietnamese people often go to pagodas to pray for health, happiness, luck and prosperity…or other good things to start a new year.
Traditional customs, Vietnamese people always worship to remember their ancestors. On the altar, there are: a tray of five fruits, a chicken and Chung cake.
In Vietnam, you can see a lot of New Year's work. I am very happy to write this letter to share with you things about Tet. Now that the new year is coming, I hope you live well and well.
