One of my favorite invention is the computer. We can all see how convenient computers are. A computer is an electric device that is used to perform repetitive caculations at very high speed. Computers help the school children learn new techniques of study, graphic design,... They help college students in preparing reports. They run the factories and equipment. They help the young and the old through internet sites. They are indispensable, without them our life is incomplete and inefficient.
Technology plays a pivotal role in helping humans work more effectively. Since automation has become an integral part of business operations, we can predict that robots are soon going to replace many jobs that are today performed by humans.
People should know the importance of robots to help them to determine when to use and when to not use robots. First, the first and the foremost advantage of having robots in workplaces is their cost. Robots are much cheaper than humans and their cost is now decreasing. Because robots are more active and don’t get tired like humans, the collaboration between humans and robots is reducing absenteeism. The pace of human cannot increase hence robots are helping humans. Morever, there is no doubt that robots are significantly stronger and faster than humans.
However, there are still disadvantages of them. Robots can certainly handle their prescribed tasks, but they typically cannot handle unexpected situations. Besides, robots have no sense of emotions or conscience. They lack empathy and this is one major disadvantage of having an emotionless workplace.
So there are advantages, but there are disadvantages as well. It is the twenty first century and we cannot work without machines.

1) OK, the iPhone is great. Indoor heating is pretty cool too. I'll admit, the dishwasher is also very convenient. But my favorite? With self checkout, there’s: No small talk (because dear god, I don’t care that the weather is rainy. It’s Washington, of COURSE it’s raining.). Nobody instructing you how to use the credit card machine that you've used about 800 billion times. (“Ok, now hit ‘enter’ when you type in your pin.” Fucking thanks, Rebecca! I think I can handle it, though.). No awkward eye contact if you’re purchasing something ~personal~, or buying an accidentally weird combo. (“Oil, eggplant, lube, and chopsticks? OK then, miss.” Guess what? Shut up and let me live my life, Gary…!) Now I’m off to go buy tampons without that awkward ‘Hi there, Ricky! Fun fact: my vagina is bleeding!’ moment I always have with the male cashier, and 2 bottles of rum without having to say “I’m totally having a party! DEFINITELY not stocking up for the week! I have my life together!” The future is a wonderful place to be.
The growing popularity of robotic automation across a wide range of sectors looks set to continue over the next few years, as businesses look to take advantage of the many benefits it offers. Manufacturers in the UK are starting invest more in the technology in preparation for our departure from the EU, allowing them to maintain their competitive edge in the market. Naturally, not everyone has been convinced of the advantages robotic automation can deliver. There is still some cautiousness about adapting an existing production line, with some reasonable objections posed by those yet to try the technology. To address both sides of the discussion, we have put together a few brief advantages and disadvantages of using robotic automation. There will be no lunchbreaks, holidays, sick leave or shift time allocated for robotic automation. It can be set to work on a repetitive cycle, and as long as it is maintained correctly, it will continue to do so until programmed otherwise. This eliminates the risk of RSI occuring. The increase in production at a lower cost produces obvious benefits for any manufacturer. The cost of investment can be recovered in a relatively short space of time and the gains from that point onwards are exponential to say the least. Few workers enjoy doing repetitive tasks and after a certain period of time concentration levels will naturally decline. This leads to costly errors for the business and sometimes serious injury to the member of staff. Robotic automation eliminates these risks by accurately producing and checking items meet the required standard without fail. With more product going out the door manufactured to a higher standard, this creates a number of new business possibilities for companies to expand upon. Using robotic automation to tackle repetitive tasks makes complete sense. Robots are designed to make repetitive movements. Humans, also by design, are not. Giving staff members the opportunity to expand on their skills and work in other areas will create a better environment which the business as a whole will benefit from. With higher energy levels and more focus put into their work, the product can only improve, which will also lead to extremely satisfied clients. Aside from potential injuries in the workplace, staff members in particular industries can be asked to work in unstable or dangerous environments. For example, if a high level of chemicals are present, robotic automation offers the ideal solution, as it will continue to work without harm. Production areas that require extremely high or low temperatures typically have a high turnover of staff due to the nature of the work. Automated robots can minimise material waste and remove the need for humans to put themselves at unnecessary risk.
